Fiesta Is Taco Fiesta "fast food"? Well, not in the standard McFood sense. Yes, you do order at the counter and bus your own table. But Fiesta is not a corporate chain, you can get an imported beer if you want, and the food is freshly made from owner Jerry Gutierrez's family recipes. (The enchilada sauce alone, they claim, has 26 ingredients.) However, it is FAST. My vegetarian burrito was ready even before I had chosen a fresh salsa there are seven, including mango and the fearsome Pancho Villa and returned to my table. Now, this might not be typical, as I visited on a holiday when some local office workers may not have been at their desks. But it was impressive all the same. Fiesta, which relocated from College Park, is located in the new Harbor East office block that is also home to Whole Foods and Chiu's Sushi. The two-level interior is painted a cheerful yellow, decorated with colorful, freely rendered vegetables. The veggies seem to give notice that this is health-conscious Mexican food, with lean meats and no lard but if you like your Mex smothered in sour cream and cheese, the kitchen will oblige. The tacos are the soft kind; fillings include traditional papas (potatoes), beer-battered tilapia, vegetables and guacamole, and marinated grilled steak. Also available are burritos (similarly stuffed), enchiladas and quesadillas. Prices range from $2.39 to $8.89.
